February begins with an abundance of planetary energy bearing down on your career, reputation, parents, authority figures, and public role. Income opportunities may be available as Venus (a money sign) also transits this sector of your chart. This is the best month for job changes or finding employment. Network, send out your resume, and tell your friends. This is also the best month for artists, designers, writers, or those involved in creative arts as creativity heightens as the month progresses. You don’t have to be a Taurus native to tap into your creative energies in February.
Your relationships with co-workers or with the public should be pleasant as you appear friendly and kind. These are the types of people you’ll attract to yourself. You could receive recognition or compensation for your personal achievements now. This is also an important time to lay the groundwork for goals, especially if your job isn’t satisfying or doesn’t meet your needs.
As Venus transit your 10th house of career and public image there may be more flirting at the office. This transit sometimes results in romantic affairs at work so use your good judgment, Taurus. Compromise will be easier, the atmosphere may seem light-hearted, and you could be working with new technology this month.
The intense Scorpio moon on Feb. 5—6 may cause friction or challenge your relationship with someone, possibly at work. Balancing important relationships and work demands could be stressful for some. On the other hand you could find yourself in an emotionally intense situation with a boss, parent, or authority figure.
Venus enters your 11th house of friends, groups, and socializing on Feb. 11. Your desire to socialize will be heightened now. This transit is beneficial for meeting new people, making friends, or getting help from those that love you. Connect with like-minded people and spend time with the people that share your vision.
The Valentines Day (Feb. 14) new moon falling in your career and reputation sector will open a two week window of opportunity to begin anew. It may be time to do things differently, change your direction, or be open to new ideas or technology. This is the only new moon you’ll have this year to make progress at work, in your public life, or for laying the foundation for personal achievements.
On Valentines Day, the moon meets up with Venus, your love planet, and Jupiter, planet of abundance. If you are in a relationship, Valentines Day may bring a warm response to love and sensitivity and generosity between partners. This could be a lazy afternoon for some, while others may find themselves gathering with friends. Indulge in life’s pleasures. This kind of energy remains active through Feb. 19 and might result in gifts, money, entertainment or romantic opportunities through friends or socializing.
The Sun enters your 11th house Feb. 18 and turns your attention to extended family, friends, groups, goals, and humanitarian concerns. Your mind may be on work, but your friends will be calling you out of your secure nest. Charity, fund raising activities, groups, meetings, and social events may demand greater involvement from you.
The Full moon (Feb. 28) falls in your 5th house of true love, entertainment, hobbies, and children. Lucky Jupiter will combine with the sun and spotlight a rare opportunity unfolding during this full moon. Romance may blossom between you and someone you’ve considered a friend. Travel may be in the stars for you, a family member, or a lover. Spend time with your kids, laugh a little and dance!

January 2010 monthly horoscope.
January begins under the influence of the Dec. 31, 2009 Lunar Eclipse at 10° Cancer. This eclipse energy will be felt the first week of January most. You will find your December eclipse forecast below your January horoscope.
You’re going to learn something new in January, Taurus. Some of what you learn may change your direction, your beliefs, or your long-term goals. This month you have four planets transiting your 9th house and by midmonth you’ll have five planets there! You’ll expand your horizons through travel, long distance issues, education, legal matters, and spiritual growth.
Your ruler, Venus, may increase your desire to travel. If you do travel, you should expect accommodations to be beautiful. Romance may be found far from home for some. You might learn something new about music, art, foreign cultures, or architecture.
You may attract someone from a different background as Venus transits through this sector, or you may be attracted to someone that is an educator or who is more educated than yourself.
You should expect increased insight this month, through research, study, or a new series of books, or you may gain greater insight from someone else.
Mercury is retrograde in your 9th house through Jan. 15. This retrograde may throw a monkey wrench into travel plans or you could change your mind about a long distance matter. Legal cases could be delayed, or getting the classes you want for spring semester may be more challenging now. Mercury resumes its forward motion Jan. 15 ending a period of delays, adjustments, and possible transportation or communication errors. This will be an important time for you to move ahead with education, training, and travel plans.
Saturn retrogrades in Libra Jan. 13 backtracking to 28° Virgo over the next four months. Saturn stations direct May 30 and will not re-enter Virgo for 26 more years! This retrograde may take you back over recent lessons, setbacks, or experiences influencing you since October 2009. Those born at the beginning or end of their signs will notice this retrograde most.
Taurus, it’s an important time for you to take a closer look at the kind of work you are doing and/or what you would like to achieve. Health care and diet should be considered as well. If changes need to be made, or if you haven’t seen a doctor, this transit should help. Everyday tasks and projects could stall now. Your duties at work might slow or you may rethink a job assignment or employment opportunity.
The powerful new moon of January 15 is a solar eclipse. The eclipse occurs at 25° Capricorn and is part of Saros series 141. The last eclipse in this series took place Jan. 4, 1992. Eclipses of the same series are woven together with similar energy. Something similar to what you experienced back in 1992 may become significant again, although solar eclipses can remain active for up to three and a half years. You may not be old enough to remember the 1992 series of eclipses. We did have an eclipse at 24° Capricorn July 16, 2000; however, that was a lunar eclipse, therefore your experiences in 2000 may have brought closure to a part of your life.
You may experience this eclipse within a month to the day of the eclipse, immediately, or the eclipse point could be activated by future transits, particularly when Mars squares the eclipse degree the third week of August 2010. All eclipses, solar and lunar, do have the potential to create a crisis in our lives before we can begin anew.
The ruler of this eclipse is Venus because she is the closet planet to this new moon. Relationships, harmony, and finances will be an underlying theme, although not necessarily the absolute eclipse message for you. This is a powerful new moon that will create a new opportunity and a new era for those influenced by this eclipse.
Taurus, this solar eclipse falls in your 9th house of long distance matters, the justice system, foreign relations, education, and your personal beliefs. This eclipse could change your future or it may prepare you for career success. If your birthday falls within four days of May 16, you will be influenced most.
There may be new developments for you concerning your education. You could go back to school or you may earn your degree now. You could become a sorority member or participate in the theatre or creative arts. This may be the year that you change your mind about the direction you are taking and go back to school for your Masters. You might take advantage of your company’s tuition reimbursement program or your company could send you away for training.
You may commit to learning something new in entertainment, Internet technology, publishing, or a media related field. Additionally, if you are a writer, this eclipse could bring your big break or you might publish your work. You could start writing a book, create a blog, or design a website.
This eclipse will influence your spiritual development, career matters, and personal achievements. You may find a new church, spend more time in mediation, study metaphysics and the healing arts, or become more aware of the spiritual side of your life.
The month ahead could find you traveling frequently for your career or to visit a parent or grandparent. Family that lives far from home may come to you. Your partner may be traveling if the eclipse doesn’t influence you in this manner. If you don’t travel or haven’t the opportunity to take a vacation, you may be setting off for distant shores within a few short months. This could be a dream vacation or one that you won as a prize! Or you may be adopting a child from a foreign country due to this eclipse!
You could file a law-suit or you may be wrapped up in a legal issue that takes months to resolve itself. This could relate to contracts, family, property matters, and employment grievances.
The eclipse makes a harmonious aspect to Uranus in your 11th house of friends, groups, networking, organizations, and extended family. You will benefit in all of these areas due to this eclipse. You may meet and mingle with new and unusual people. Perhaps you will be the one that teaches or trains others.
Jupiter will change signs and enter Pisces on Jan. 17, 2010. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, growth, blessings, abundance, optimism, opportunity, and excess. Jupiter has not transited Pisces since Feb. 1998. Jupiter is Pisces co-ruler so it works well in this sign. Jupiter is considered a lucky planet to have transiting your horoscope and it can be—as long as it makes positive aspects to planets in your birth chart.
Jupiter’s average motion is one year through each sign or house in your chart. It takes an average 12 years to transit the zodiac, touching on every area of your life. Every twelve years from the time you were born you will have a Jupiter return. During your Jupiter Return you will have the opportunity to grow and expand on the area in your life that you find valuable. This transit stimulates growth so that you can become a better version of yourself.
Jupiter may bestow greater opportunities this year or you may feel like you’re waiting for the Universe to drop a big gift in your lap. The key is to recognize new opportunities and take the initiative when they are presented to you. This transit could certainly bless you by expanding or adding to your fortune, especially if Jupiter aspects important planets in your chart.
Sometimes we get too much of a good thing through Jupiter, which may not be healthy or wise for us. Jupiter is the planet of knowledge gained through travel, education, spirituality, and the justice system. Wherever Jupiter transits in your personal chart, you can be assured that you will learn something new about yourself and the world around you.
Taurus, Jupiter will transit your 11th house of friendships, groups, volunteer work, extended family members, and your hopes and wishes. You are about to learn who your true friends are and you may meet someone that becomes a good friend to you during this transit. You may attract influential people into your life in 2010. Some will be more generous than what you are accustomed to and others may help you rise to the top. The ninth house does prepare for your career progress, Taurus. With so much emphasis on your 9th house of education, it’s possible that you meet someone that becomes a mentor to you. This may go hand in hand with the eclipse message.
January 18 Venus enters your 10th house and the sun follows on Jan. 19. You will focus on your career, your partner’s career, parenting, your reputation, or your role in society. You will work hard for recognition as your intention will be to make progress now. Your successes through next month will be tied to self satisfaction, higher self esteem, more confidence, and possible increased income.
Your career, your partner’s career, or something you are working on may be tied to working with a group, volunteer, charity, or humanitarian work. Ask for help if you need it because friends and associates seem willing to help you advance your efforts. You will shine among your peers, regardless of employment status.
The month ends with a full moon at 10° Leo on Jan. 30, in your 4th house of home, family, and property matters. If your birthday falls within 5 days of May 1, you will be affected most. This house also governs family members, property issues, habits you carry from the past and endings as it is at the bottom of your chart. Something will come to a climax or end. The moon is closely tied to Mars, a determined, action-packed planet. Passions and emotions may run high now, for positive or negative reasons.
The full moon brings family or property matters to the attention of some Taureans. This could be due to a stressful situation within your family, or home related projects could finally end. You’ve had a lot of property and family issues to work through over the last few months while Mars transits that sector of your chart.
The full moon could end a period of unemployment, but jobs could also end now if your chart supports it. If you gain through employment, you could be put in a leadership or in a position where you have the ability to express your talents. The full moon may relate to a family member, their employment status or job which could carry over into your family or domestic decisions.
