You are on the right track for career progress and personal achievements this month. The sun transits your 10th house of reputation, career, public recognition, and authority figures (bosses, teachers, parents, officials).
The new moon Sept. 8 also falls in your 10th house. Sagittarius born within 5 days of Dec. 8 will notice this brand new energy most. This new moon will allow you two weeks to start fresh in your career or take important steps in making a name for yourself. The first week following the new moon is the most advantageous. You may be starting a new shift, picking up extra hours, or applying for a job. Mercury is retrograde so call back employers that may have turned you down in the past.
This month you may be in the spotlight at work or in your community because of something you’ve worked hard to achieve. If you are not employed, September’s stars may concern your partner or a parental figure. Mercury is retrograde; therefore you may be questioning how fulfilling your job is or thinking more about what you need for personal satisfaction. This transit applies to you even if you are a stay-at-home parent. Think of the most important role you play in your daily life. This will surely be significant to you now.
You may spend more time at work and take on more responsibilities. If you are asked to work on any project, be sure you have the knowledge it requires to complete the task. Alternatively, your place of employment may be undergoing some changes. This could prove beneficial for you, Sagittarius.
The 10th house also rules your parents, more specifically your father or the parent most available to you. The first part of the month might point to something going on with a parental figure.
With Mercury Retrograde in this sector, you may be going over projects at work during this time. You may renegotiate an important contract or fine-tune an issue going on at the office. Office equipment or your work space may be important. There will be more details, employment talks, and paperwork related to career, your parents, or a business/personal agreement. There could be some indecision on your part about your job or you may be working on something temporarily.
Mercury retrogrades August 20—Sept. 12. Mercury slows its orbit during this phase so you may notice some confusion. This Mercury retrograde makes no stressful aspects to planets in your solar chart which may be favorable for you. That being said, you could experience some aggravation during this time.
Mercury governs transportation, communication, and all things related to the transfer of information. You can expect these areas to be influenced during Mercury’s retrograde. News becomes confusing, transportation may be delayed or complicated, and ideas are asked to be reconsidered. Make yourself clear, read the fine print and do what you can to avoid miscommunication. Items are often lost during this time, so keep your eye on your valuables and important documents. I’ve lost a credit card during Mercury retrograde and my car keys during another retrograde! This is not a time to make important or expensive purchases. You may not use them or they may be flawed. The store shelves may be full of “not so great deals” now. Computers, phones, mail, fax machines, transportation and/or appliances may be annoying or fail to perform properly.
The weeks of Mercury retrograde might cause delays or obstacles, but it’s the best time for increasing your knowledge and bringing important details to your attention, which could be problematic at a later date.
This is not a time to sign papers or make verbal agreements, unless this is something you’ve already had in the works. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, re-write, re-organize, review, re-do, renew, research and re-evaluate. Allow a few days after Mercury turns direct before you proceed with any new ideas, major purchases, contracts or important decisions.
Venus transits your 11th house of friends, groups, charity, and in-laws until Sept. 8. Friends may have been more generous and you could have enjoyed greater activity in your life. If you have had a difficult relationship with a friend or challenges within a group, Venus can help to sort out any differences. People are easier to please now and relationships are warmer.
On Sept. 8, Venus glides into your 12th house of isolation, spirituality, and secrets. Life will get a little quieter and you might enjoy some down-time. This would be an excellent time to work alone and it could help to boost your income in the early part of the month. Venus in this sector increases your sensitivity to the misfortune of others. You may want to help someone through a difficult time. Mars will enter your 12th sector on Sept. 14. This transit will help you get some hard work out of the way without disruptions. This transit can cause unnecessary worry or feelings of inadequacy, but it is a passing phase.
Pluto changes directions in your 2nd house of income Sept. 13—April 2011. If your birthday falls before Nov. 28, you will be feeling Pluto’s transformative energy in the months ahead.
If your birthday falls after Nov. 28, you will be influenced most beginning Jan. 2011. However, that’s not to say you won’t be experiencing this heavy hitter planet now or in the coming months. You may have planets in the other cardinal signs of your chart that will receive Pluto’s energy. The cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. All of these signs are known as self-starters of the zodiac.
This Pluto transit will bring a change in fortune, Sagittarius. While money and possessions can change drastically, some Sagittarians might experience a financial hardship or you may no longer have the kind of income you were accustomed to. Your ideas about material possessions may be altered during this transit. You could receive an inheritance or benefit through a lawsuit, scholarship, teaching or publishing endeavor. This transit has the power to influence your domestic conditions and touch you deeply. What you value today may be very different after Pluto influences your chart. Issues of control over finances may surface. Some Sagittarians could become fixated on money or material possessions, while others may be uninterested.
The sun enters your 11th house of friendships, in-laws, charity, and groups on Sept. 22. After a month of hard work you’ll find time to socialize and participate in group activities. This next transit may find you mingling with new people. Friends or co-workers may take more time and attention now. For some, a friendship could turn into romantic relationship or into a secret sexual affair. Be careful because secrets may be uncovered late in the month or in early October. Don’t mix money with friendships now. Extended family members may also play a role in the weeks ahead. For others, volunteer or charity work will be important to you.
The full moon Sept. 23 calls your attention to your 5th house of romance, children, hobbies, or leisure. If your birthday falls within 5 days of Nov. 23, you will be influenced more than others in your sign. This full moon may finalize a creative endeavor or hobby. The moon could point to an issue culminating with a child or in regards to childcare. It might bring news about an unexpected pregnancy. A romantic relationship may be in the spotlight now. You may make a decision about an emotional or financial investment. You might be leaving for vacation or finalizing plans to do so.
