You still do not have enough extra money to shop, play, and splurge as you would like to. However, your professional and financial goals get a semi-continuous stream of positive energy this month and you are able to start making headway on rebuilding this part of your life. You are also in the mood to spread love and holiday cheer, especially near the end of the month.

From October 11th through March 9th, Saturn and Pluto clash. This is that same battle that the sun and Mercury triggered. This time, it is bigger, uglier, and far more important. Saturn is moving into Libra and your “me” sector. From this new location, he is trying to teach you some life lessons about how you come across to others. It is not about your inner self, but more about your outer presentation. Pluto is trying to add personal power, enlightenment, profits, and sex appeal to your “home” sector. With these two titans clashing, you could find your home life, retirement plans, housing situation, and/or your relationship with your parents are in a major upheaval. This is a time for deep self-reflection, digging into and facing childhood issues, and working through them so that you can let it go. You do not want to spend the rest of your life allowing your “baggage” to keep messing with your private life. You could find that life lessons about your outer personality are rooted in how you get along with various roommates, your parents, and/or something in your private life. Real estate deals, home-remodeling projects, and anything else “home” related could be quite challenging for you over the next few months. Even if you hire a professional to handle things for you, there will still be challenges and you will have a very hard time keeping your cool and maintaining a pleasant outer façade.
From October 24th through November 4th, the sun and Mars are clashing. Mars is in your friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, and networking sector. The sun is still in your personal wealth sector. Social activities, membership fees, club dues, and/or Internet costs could be too expensive for your current budget. You could owe money to friends, colleagues, or associates. Or they could owe you money. Either way, someone is not paying as agreed and it is causing very hard feelings. You should also be very careful when conducting financial transactions online.
From October 29th through April 8th, Saturn leaves Virgo and your twelfth house to enter Libra and your first house. He will backtrack and revisit Virgo and your twelfth house from April 8th through July 20th. After that, he will stay in Libra and your first house for the next couple of years. For Libra, hosting Saturn in your own sign and your first house of “me” can be very painful. The core of who you are, what you believe in, how you present yourself to the outside world, just being Libra’esque in your life is what is being challenged. It is easy to feel as if you are in a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation while Saturn travels through the first house. Your clothing, hairstyle, posture, personality, self-image, and overall presentation are being questioned. You could find others are judging you, challenging you, and/or just mad at you for being so very “Libra”. Or you could find that you are the one who is being so critical and hard on yourself. This is when your own inner-critic is in overdrive. Remember that the goal is for you to have more self-confidence, to present the best possible version of yourself, and to learn how to showcase your Libra qualities in a favorable and effective manner. Be open to self-analysis and critiques but be careful not to buy into every single grouchy person’s opinion of you. After all, the lesson Saturn might choose to teach you is the ability to say, “Your opinion of me is really none of my business!”
From October 31st through November 5th, Venus begins working with Neptune. Together, these two like to create romance, love, compassion, charities, and the fine arts. They are dreamy, sexy, and into a spiritual mystical kind of romance. Financially, they create a generous, intuitive, and/or philanthropic approach to wealth. They are currently blending your “happiness” sector and your “me” sector. This is a lovely energy for hobbies, creative projects, and playtime activities. It is also incredibly romantic and a great time for scheduling date nights with your sweetheart. Those of you that are single should consider asking trusted friends and relatives to introduce you to interesting new people. This is also a great time for playing make-believe games with children.
New Developments:
November 2nd hosts a full moon in your trust and sharing, intimacy, fidelity, loyalty, joint finances, joint ventures, commissions, royalties, stock options, investments, loans, lotteries, insurances, alimony, child support, and other forms of profit sharing sector. Full moons are for endings, closure, and grand finales. This one is harshly affected by Mars in your social networking sector. Mercury is trying to help improve your big grand finale in your trust and sharing (sex and profits) sector. Normally, this would be a great time for financial grand finales and for consummating romantic relationships. However, with Mars getting angry and meddling, you could find that romantic relationships end due to “friends” seducing you or your lover. You could find that financial deals involving friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, the Internet, and other group organizations do not turn out as successfully as planned. As much as this can hurt, do not worry too much, because you have a fresh start in your personal finances later this month and a lovely new beginning in your romance and happiness sector in February. It is also technically possible that you could agree to end certain financial practices or you could finally decide to commit to a relationship, because of the negativity coming from your social networking sector. Whether you experience a positive or negative ending in your trust and sharing sector, the drama in your social and Internet sector will play a major role in your decision-making.
From November 7th through the 10th, Venus takes her turn working with Pluto. Venus is bringing wealth, diplomacy, and compassion into your personal wealth and self-worth sector. Pluto is bringing passion, personal power, and hidden resources to your real estate, housing matters, roommates, parents, childhood issues, retirement circumstances, and “coming home” sector. This is another opportunity for you to work on healing emotional wounds involving your parents and childhood issues that might have created self-esteem problems for you. And it is an especially good time to work on household budgets, real estate deals, rental contracts, mortgages, home-improvement loans, retirement planning, and/or helping your parents with their financial challenges or letting them help you with yours. Venus and Pluto rule over all forms of wealth, so this is a rather profitable energy you have to work with.
From November 7th through the 13th, the sun is in your personal wealth and self-worth sector and is clashing with Jupiter in your personal pleasure, lovers, romance, playtime, children, pets, hobbies, creative talents, luxury, and happiness sector. You and your loved ones could be upset about not having enough money for playtime activities. This is not a good time for holiday shopping either. You will need to look for more economical ways to have fun and/or to let loved ones know how much you care. Until the 9th, Mercury will be adding an argumentative energy to this problem.
From November 9th through the 13th, Mercury and Uranus are working quite nicely together. These are the two planets in charge of genius, intellect, independence, and spontaneity. They are combining your daily work sector with your personal wealth sector together in a smart, fun, and charming way. This is an excellent time for working on financial and professional growth. The sun, Venus, and eventually Mars still have to pass through here, so you will have more of this lovely energy in the future. With Mercury, you can begin the planning, negotiations, and goal setting portion of any business goals you might have.
From November 10th through the 13th, Mercury begins battling Neptune the same way he just did with Jupiter. With Neptune’s involvement, the financial problems that have been keeping you from having fun now include more bureaucracy, deception, self-destruction, gullibility, and/or “fogginess”. Things just are not as crystal clear as they should be.
From November 11th through the 18th, the sun begins working with Uranus the same way Mercury is. This prolongs your ability to blend “personal wealth” and “daily work” energies in a positive and fun way. You are not just doing better financially and professionally; you are having a good time while rebuilding this area of your life.
From November 13th through the 18th, the sun battles with Neptune the way that Mercury just did. This is more of that negative energy between your personal wealth sector and your happiness sector. Neptune has a “now you see it, now you don’t” effect on finances, so money could seem to be disappearing into thin air whenever you start to spend even the smallest amount of playtime activities and/or holiday shopping. You could also find that someone is lying to you or about you and this is having a very negative affect on your self-worth.
November 16th hosts a new moon in your personal wealth and self-worth sector. This is a great time for new budgets, bank accounts, savings accounts, and/or acquiring assets. It is also a powerful time for building a new sense of self-confidence. Neptune is still clashing with the sun and causing some rumblings about your smaller than normal playtime budget. However, Uranus is still working wonderfully with the sun and is adding professional success to this new beginning in your financial life.
From November 16th through the 18th, Mercury is working with Saturn. Mercury is in your communications, community, and commerce sector and Saturn is still in your “me” sector. This is a great time for bonding with neighbors, family members, and/or other in your local community. You can also use this for business deals, contract negotiations, sales pitches, written and verbal projects, and for bargain hunting. You are smart, business savvy, and looking for long-term success in your commercial activities.
From November 16th through the 22nd, Venus and Mars are not getting along. These are the cosmic lovers of the universe, so when they fight it can be like an old married couple. Mars is still in your social networking sector and Venus is in your personal wealth and self-worth sector. Something or someone in your social life could be causing you to doubt yourself. However, it is more likely that there are financial issues between you and a friend, team, clubs, committee, professional association, webmaster, website, and/or Internet provider. Be especially careful when conducting financial transactions online.
From November 21st through the 26th, Venus and Jupiter are recreating the financial issues between you and a lover, child, pet, hobby, creative project, luxury item, and/or shopping trip. You could see a lot of sales, but not be able to purchase just yet or your loved ones could be really pushing you to spend money that you just do not have right now. Don’t worry, it’s almost over.
From November 23rd through the 26th, the sun and Saturn get along quite nicely. Like Mercury a few days ago, the sun is helping to blend your “me” sector and your local community, interpersonal communications, and commercial activities sector. This is another opportunity for spending quality time with community members, conducting smart business deals, and/or for working on various communications projects. You know just what to say to get your point across in all of these circumstances.
From November 23rd through the 28th, Venus and Uranus work together to create more of that delightful energy blending your “personal wealth” and “daily work” sectors together. Once again, you could use this to work towards achieving your financial and professional goals. Venus adds wealth and diplomacy. Uranus adds brainstorming, teamwork, and the Internet. Together, they can be quite creative when coming up with lucrative ideas.
From November 23rd through the 29th, Mercury and Mars are getting along wonderfully. Mars is working hard to boost your friends, teams, clubs, committees, professional associations, networking, and Internet sector and Mercury is bringing intellect, communications skills, and fresh ideas into your community, commerce, and communications sector. Together, these two planets are helping you enjoy social gatherings with friends and family. You are persuasive, funny, smart, entertaining, and/or able to find just the right thing to say when mingling, selling, and/or just chatting.
From November 25th through the 29th, Venus battles Neptune. Once again, financial problems or a lack of self-confidence is keeping you and your loved ones from playing, shopping, and having a good time. Luckily, this is the last planet to pass through here so this reoccurring problem should finally work itself out.
From November 27th through December 17th, Mars opposes Jupiter. Last summer, Mercury, the sun, and Venus passed through here and created an ugly opposition between your social networking sector and your happiness sector. Mars is just now getting ready to catch up and will re-trigger various events that you have already dealt with in the past. First, he opposes Jupiter (and then Neptune). This creates a friend versus lover, teamwork versus personal happiness, and/or social obligations versus loved ones battle. Basically, you are too popular, too busy with committee meetings and social obligations, and/or spending too much time online and this is causing your lover, children, pets, hobbies, or personal happiness to suffer and complain.
From November 28th through the 30th, Mercury begins working with Jupiter. Mercury and Mars are already getting along blending your social networking sector and your communications, commerce, and community sector together in a smart, entertaining, and productive manner. Now, Mercury is also working with Jupiter in your romance, pets, children, luxury, creativity, hobbies and happiness sector to add more compromise, negotiations, and intelligence to the issues. With Mercury’s help between the two opposing forces (social obligations versus personal happiness), you are able to negotiate with both sides. Mercury could represent a neighbor, community member, sibling, cousin, or someone from your extended family. If so, then this person could be helping you to create balance between your desire to spend time with your loved ones and your desire to be a great team player.
From November 30th through December 2nd, Mercury moves on to work with Neptune. This is your communications, community, and commerce sector blending nicely with your happiness sector. With Jupiter, it was about an abundance of happiness and joy, creativity, luxury shopping, romantic conversations, laughter, and fun. However, with Neptune, the focus changes to more of a compassionate and intuitive energy. This is a lovely time for getting into the holiday spirit, expressing the more charitable and humanitarian side of yourself, and maybe doing a bit of the more spiritual things that you enjoy. This is a lovely time for spreading love, compassion, and holiday cheer throughout your community.

Your monthly horoscope follows this main text for all signs.
For the last two and a half years we have all been asked to adapt to new situations in some area of our lives as Saturn transited Virgo. This transit began in Sept. 2007. We have all had to establish more order; schedules have been influenced, along with employment and/or health care issues that have been in the spotlight for many. Serving something or someone other than ourselves meant we had to remain flexible in the face of change. Adjusting to new circumstances may have been challenging, worrisome, or burdensome as Saturn tested our strengths and weaknesses.
This month will set the stage for a new trend which we will all experience at some level. On Oct. 29, 2009, Saturn, the “Taskmaster”, the planet of old age (Father Time), hard work, and determined effort will enter Libra for the first time since Sept. 1980—Aug. 1983. Think back, if you’re old enough, to what significant events happened in your life during those years because similar themes may develop during this transit.
Saturn will retrograde at 4° Libra on Jan. 13, 2010, and re-enter Virgo in April 2010. During the retrograde phase, Saturn will remind you of the commitments and decisions you are making right now. Saturn will station direct at 28° Virgo May 30, 2010, finishing up its final trek through Virgo on July 21of next year and will not re-enter Virgo again until 2036. From October through January 2010 we will get a hint of what this Saturn in Libra transit will be like, especially for those that have planets 0-5 degrees in their charts.
The Cardinal signs, or people with planets 0-5 degrees in Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, will experience Saturn almost immediately. In addition, the Cancer/Capricorn eclipse in December and the eclipses next year will influence these signs so there are sure to be dramatic changes for the Cardinal signs and for those with planets within them.
Saturn’s transit through Libra until Oct. 2012 will give each of us enough time to grow from this planets influence. Saturn is exalted in Libra, meaning Saturn holds Libra in high regard and works well in this sign. Libra is a relationship sign; a sign concerned with equality, fairness, justice, and beauty. Creating balance in our relationships will be of fundamental importance, as will how we relate to others. We will learn to compromise, weigh both sides of the coin, and treat others as we want to be treated.
There will be challenges on the way where we are held responsible for our actions, or we will weed out what doesn’t promote progress in our lives and in our relationships. All relationships will be influenced, from marriage and family, those who you do business with on a daily basis, and to those that oppose you. Relationships are our reflections—what we give out, we receive in return. Saturn will remind you of that fact. Saturn will ask you to accept certain boundaries and when you do this graciously, you will be compensated. Saturn always leaves you a gift after it leaves a sign. Usually that gift is one of strength and stability because Saturn’s job always builds a firm foundation in the area it is transiting. Friendships are important to you, but Mars transiting this sector can cause conflicts in your relationships. Friends, social groups, or co-workers could put more demands on your time. That said, this can be a good transit for you to work hard within a group, with a friend, or with co-workers, especially if you have a long term project. The 11th house is the sector where you are recognized for career achievements or for your special abilities. With Mars transiting this sector, you will have the opportunity to be honored for your talents. You may be socializing, making friends, and attending more group functions over the next 8 months. Saturn enters your sign on Oct. 29, 2009. Saturn conjunct the sun can be a difficult transit, but it doesn’t have to be. Later born Libras won’t feel Saturn until next year, while September birthdays will feel Saturn almost immediately. This transit will ask you to firm up your goals. You won’t be allowed to take short-cuts this time around. Saturn’s previous transit through your 12th house was meant for you to look within and make important decisions about your future. It doesn’t matter who you are, your responsibilities, whether a relationship, career, children, or family are about to come front and center so that you can weed out what doesn’t work and build on your successes. Some Libra’s will have one more chance to review these areas when Saturn retrogrades.

September 2009 Monthly Horoscope
The sun is transiting the last house in your horoscope, Libra. The weeks leading up to your birthday are a time of rest, self renewal, and a chance to take time for yourself. You’ll need time to contemplate, meditate, or connect with your spiritual life. If you have an important project on your agenda, find a quiet place because you’ll get more accomplished working alone. Healthcare will be important, spiritual growth is highlighted, and letting go of the past may be essential. Soon the sun will transit your sign and you will enter a new yearly cycle.
The full moon Sept. 4 in your 6th house will bring a health, work, or daily routines issues to a boil. This full moon may bring an ending to a situation at work or you may be finishing up an important assignment now. You may be left feeling disappointed, or a something hidden might unfold about a female co-worker. Mars (now transiting your career) is at a stressed angle to Mercury in your sign. There could be a disagreement that leaves your nerves jangled.
This is not a career full moon, but it may affect working conditions—for yourself or your significant other. If the energy of the full moon doesn’t jive with work, someone in a position of authority, such as a boss, a specialist, or a parental figure may prove difficult. Work could be a sensitive topic at home.
The full moon could point to a service you provide that is changing, or someone that you employ, such as a housekeeper, babysitter, or an assistant may be leaving.
Healthcare may fall under the subject of this full moon, therefore your health or the health of a female family member, employee/employer, or a pet may be illuminated. Mercury will be retrograde Sept 6 – Sept 29. Mercury is that planet that governs transportation, communication, and all things related to the transfer of information. You should expect any of these areas to be influenced during Mercury’s retrograde. News becomes confusing, transportation is delayed or full of complications, and ideas or agreements are asked to be reconsidered. Items are often lost during this time, so keep your eye on important belongings and documents. I never found my credit card or car keys, items I lost during two separate Mercury Retrograde periods. Be careful of what you spend your money on during any Mercury Rx phase because you may never use it or you might end up taking it back because it doesn’t work. The store shelves and car lots are full of “not so great deals” during this phase. Anything that is communications or transportation related may cause you problems such as computers, phones, gossip, fax machines, vehicles, or shopping over the internet.
You can’t put your life on hold during Mercury Retrograde, but you should concentrate on the things that are going on in your life now. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, re-write, re-organize, review, research, reflect, and re-evaluate.
Libra, let sleeping dogs lie. You can’t change the past, but you can change your future. Make no life changing decisions, spend time meditating or reading, help someone in need, and do something nice for yourself. A prior legal matter, health problem, education concern, publishing, travel, or media issue could resurface.
Venus transits your 11th house through Sept. 20. While there is a heavy emphasis now on you gearing up for a new cycle of experience, you also have the planet of beauty and love transiting your social sector. You can have it both ways. You out of all the zodiac signs can balance the need for time to reflect on your life and maintain your friendships. Friends will be generous with their time, so this would be a good transit to share your feelings with the people that love you.
This is the house of hopes and wishes; it’s also the house of goals. This transit can bring a pay increase for your career achievements, an award, or an honorable mention.
Mars transits your 10th house of career, reputation, and authority figures through Oct. 15. The transit will ramp up your career or it could bring disruptions to your private life because of your career. Finding balance between work and home life could prove difficult, but it’s doable. You may be driven to accomplish more at work or there may be more activity on the job front. Your boss may expect you to produce more now, or a person in authority could challenge your good nature. This transit can help you garner recognition at work or within your community because your competitive drive will be stronger.
The new moon Sept. 18 will further emphasize rest and renewal. Libra’s born near Oct. 18 will notice this new moon most. It may be time for a medical check-up or to see a doctor if you have a lingering problem. Saturn in the 12th house (as you have now) can cause you to worry, to become fearful, or feel depressed. Some Libra’s have already experienced this, while other Libras may be feeling Saturn’s transit now. You may seek some professional or spiritual counseling.
The two weeks following the new moon would be a good time to work on a project where you’ll spend more time alone. The first week is the most favorable for getting off to a good start. This new moon will be expressed outwardly as you plan and create something with the help of the Universe. Whatever you undertake at this time could add to your bank account and/or help your family or living situation.
September will be a memorable month for many signs, mostly because of unstable planetary patterns. The majority of heavy hitter aspects come into play around midmonth. Saturn will be nearing exact opposition to Uranus which manifests Sept. 15. This aspect can result in sudden breaks or the need to break out limiting circumstances.
Venus opposes Neptune on Sept. 15 which may result in having unrealistic expectations in a relationship. Someone may have a hidden agenda or there may be disappointments. No relationship should begin under this aspect if you want something lasting. Use this energy to help someone less fortunate or visit someone you know that needs cheering up.
On Sept. 17 the Sun will oppose Uranus, the planet of sudden unexpected events and breakthroughs. Accidents, irritability, tension, restlessness, impatience, radical change are a few keywords you should know if you are influenced by this aspect. The sun opposes Uranus every year.
On the new moon Sept. 18, Mars, stationed at 15° Cancer will trigger events related to the July 7 lunar eclipse at 15° Capricorn. Mars is used as a timer in astrology; I usually mention this at eclipse time and give you dates to expect eclipse activity to unfold. Mars has reached the exact degree of opposition to the July 7 eclipse therefore some of you may be dealing with the results of that eclipse now.
Still active at the wake of the Sept. 18 new moon, these aspects remain volatile through Sept. 25 when the moon meets up with Pluto at a highly sensitive degree in Capricorn. The earliest born in the signs of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and Aries will be influenced most by this conjunction. Dependant on your birth chart, other signs may also experience intense emotional changes or the feeling of being completely overwhelmed. Home, family, and/or finances may demand your attention. Possessiveness, jealousy, and power struggles, sometimes due to emotional manipulations can result.
That said, powerful planetary patterns as we have now are often the driving force behind major breakthroughs. Lessons will be learned (some the hard way), progress will be made (through sheer will and determination) and barriers will be broken (with extra effort and hard work). At the end of the day you may be thanking the Universe for the aspects that propelled you through a month like September.
Venus glides into your 12 house on Sept. 20, helping you with your new moon goals. This is one of the best planets to have in your 12th house. Venus here makes you more sympathetic and increases your desire to help others, but you’ll have to be careful because your feelings could be easily hurt. This is a good time for you to visit someone confined to the home or hospital, and your opportunity to contribute to a charity. You’ll enjoy quiet solitude and you may be at your creative best now. Your relationships will also benefit because it’s easier for you to give your time and love away. You may be the Libra involved in a secret romantic or sexual affair during this transit, or you may discover you have a secret admirer!
The Sun enters your sign house Sept. 22, and puts you in the spotlight. Self improvement, your relationships, and the need to express yourself will play an important role in the weeks ahead.
