Synopsis:
You and your lover, best friend, or business partner are having a heck of a time dealing with your parents, roommates, houseguests, a home-improvement project, or a housing matter. Something in your home life keeps upsetting your partner and eventually you get upset too. The two of you turn on each other, but not for long. Throughout the month, you both find plenty of time for romance, playtime, and laughter. You are stressed out about things, but not enough to let it completely ruin your ability to have a good time.

From October 11th through March 9th, Saturn and Pluto clash. This is that same battle that the sun and Mercury triggered. This time, it is bigger, uglier, and far more important. Saturn is trying to teach you some life lessons about how you communicate, negotiate, and interact with people in your local community, so it could be a very uncomfortable experience. Sales, negotiations, written and spoken communications, computers, office equipment, telecommunications, office gossip, argumentative coworkers, and/or work-related travel are all areas that can be harshly affected by this negative energy.
From October 24th through November 4th, the sun and Mars are clashing. Mars is in your “me” sector and the sun is still in your “home” sector. You could be upset about a real estate deal, housing matter, roommates, parents, childhood issues, retirement circumstances, and/or any other “home” related topic. It is also possible that you are battling your own inner demons especially if your childhood upbringing plays a role in creating those inner demons. You could be ticked off as you remember an abusive, delusional, or absent parent. Most of the time, this simply shows up as you being ticked off about household chores, rude roommates, or a meddlesome parent creating stress in your private life.
From October 29th through April 8th, Saturn leaves Virgo and your second house to enter Libra and your third house. He will backtrack and revisit Virgo and your second house from April 8th through July 20th. After that, he will stay in Libra and your third house for the next couple of years. For Leo, this happens in your third house of interpersonal communications (verbal and written words, telecommunications, computers, etc.), commercial activities (buying and selling, negotiations, contracts, agreements, commitments, etc.), and local community (neighbors, local people, siblings, extended family, one’s clansmen, etc.). Local forms of transportation, like subways, city busing, cars, bicycles, skates, etc are also part of this sector. When Saturn passes through this area of someone’s chart, they often experience problems, issues, and challenges concerning neighbors and extended family, local transportation, computers, telecommunications, sales (as both the buyer and the seller), contract negotiations, and the ability to get their point across to others. You could be accused of thinking in a small-town, narrow-minded way or you could have trouble with others because of their small-town narrow-minded philosophies. You could be forced to learn to fine-tune your delivery and to make sure that you are backing up your systems and remembering to stay organized. You could also learn some tough life lessons about doing your homework before making major purchases and/or about how to sell in a tough economy. Dysfunctional family dynamics could be used to teach you some tough life lessons too.
From October 31st through November 5th, Venus begins working with Neptune. Together, these two like to create romance, love, compassion, charities, and the fine arts. They are dreamy, sexy, and into a spiritual mystical kind of romance. Financially, they create a generous, intuitive, and/or philanthropic approach to wealth. This could also be a lovely time for romantic date nights with a romantic partner. Theoretically, business partners could use it for intuitive and profitable business negotiations and you could also use it for peace talks with competitors and enemies. But mostly, it is an excellent time for love and romance.

November 2nd hosts a full moon in your professional goals and aspirations, leadership, public reputation, and success sector. Full moons are for endings, closure, and grand finales. This one is harshly affected by Mars in your “me” sector. You could retire, quit a career path, say goodbye to a boss or father-figure, or achieve some level of status. Maybe you win the job promotion, but you are ticked off about the politics around it or the way that it was handled. Maybe your boss gets fired and you are really angry to see it happen. Whatever the ending or grand finale in your professional life, you are not happy about it.
From November 7th through the 10th, Venus takes her turn working with Pluto to try to mediate solutions to work related problems that Saturn and Pluto are creating. Venus and Pluto rule over all forms of seduction and money so you could find you are in the mood for romance and profits! Office romances and home-based businesses are likely recipients of this smart and passionate energy. Since Venus is involved, you could also find that a female roommate, sister, or mother are somehow able to help you come up with ideas about how to solve some of the professional problems you have been facing.
From November 7th through the 13th, the sun is in your real estate, housing matters, roommates, parents, childhood issues, safety, security, retirement circumstances, and “coming home” sector and is clashing with Jupiter in your partnerships sector. Your spouse could be upset about chores, roommates, home-improvement or landscaping projects, and/or a real estate matter. It is also possible that your parents are not getting along with your spouse, best friend, or business partner. Your private life could be negatively affecting your best friend or a business partner. Until the 9th, Mercury will be adding an argumentative energy to this problem.
From November 9th through the 13th, Mercury and Uranus are working quite nicely together. These are the two planets in charge of genius, intellect, independence, and spontaneity. They are combining your “home” sector with your trust and sharing, fidelity, loyalty, joint finances, joint ventures, stock options, commissions, royalties, inheritances, taxes, and other forms of profit sharing sector together in a smart, fun, and charming way. This is an excellent time for romantic date nights cuddled up together at home. It is also a good time for working on retirement planning, property taxes, estate planning, joint household budgets, and anything else that brings more trust and security into your private life. The sun, Venus, and eventually Mars still have to pass through here, so you will have more of this lovely energy in the future.
From November 10th through the 13th, Mercury begins battling Neptune the same way he just did with Jupiter. Once again, your spouse, best friend, business partner, or a rival (think yin-yang) is upset about your roommates, parents, or something else in your private life. It is also possible that a landscaping, remodeling, redecorating, and/or home-improvement project has your partner feeling quite frustrated. When Mercury and Neptune battle, we often find lies, deceit, gullibility, negative self-talk, escapism, and/or hidden agendas are a key factor in the drama that unfolds. This is not a good time for financial or romantic negotiations.
From November 11th through the 18th, the sun begins working with Uranus the same way Mercury is. This prolongs your ability to blend “home” and “trust and sharing” energies in a positive and fun way. Therefore, even though your partner is upset about something or someone in your private life, they are still open to the idea of bringing more love, romance, wealth, trust, and sharing into your private relationship.
From November 13th through the 18th, the sun battles with Neptune the way that Mercury just did. Once again, your parents, roommates, or a home-related project has your spouse, best friend, or business partner feeling quite irritable. Your partner may have an unrealistic fantasy of how things “ought to be” and they are quite upset that reality is not matching up very well with their dreams.
November 16th hosts a new moon in your real estate, housing matters, roommates, parents, childhood issues, safety, security, retirement circumstances, and “coming home” sector. This is a great time for launching landscaping, redecorating, home-improvement, and/or remodeling projects. It is also a good time for new roommates, new parents (a biological parent remarries?), and/or for agreeing to a fresh start with a pre-existing roommate or parent. Neptune is still clashing with the sun and causing your spouse, best friend, business partner, or a rival to not like this new beginning in your private life. However, Uranus is still working wonderfully with the sun and encouraging you to bring more trust and sharing, romance, and wealth into your home.
From November 16th through the 18th, Mercury is working with Saturn. Saturn and Pluto are in a major battle causing your communications, commerce, and local community sector and your daily work sector to clash. A few weeks ago, Mercury was working with Pluto trying to come up with ideas, compromises, solutions, etc to resolve the issue or to at least ease things so that you can more easily manage. Now, Mercury is trying to play peacemaker with Saturn. Mercury is in your “happiness” sector trying to bring more fun, romance, creativity, and joy into your interpersonal communications, commercial activities, and/or relationships with people in your local community. Even if Mercury is unable to ease your professional dramas, he can at least help you to have more fun, laugh and joke with loved ones, and/or to work on commercial activities involving luxury items. If you work in “happiness” industries, this could be a great time for sales pitches and coming up with creative marketing ideas.
From November 16th through the 22nd, Venus and Mars are not getting along. These are the cosmic lovers of the universe, so when they fight it can be like an old married couple. Mars is in your “me” sector and Venus is in your “home” sector. Whatever it is in your private life that has been upsetting your spouse, best friend, or business partner, is now angering you too. Your parents, houseguests, roommates, real estate deals, housing matters, and/or home-improvement projects can be causing all issues at this time.
From November 21st through the 26th, Venus and Jupiter are recreating the “home” versus “partnerships” issues. Once again, your best friend, spouse, or business partner is upset about something in your home life.
From November 23rd through the 26th, the sun and Saturn get along quite nicely. Like Mercury a few days ago, the sun is doing his part to try to soften the battle between Pluto and Saturn that has your “communications and contract negotiations” and “work” sectors battling. Once again, we have your “happiness” sector trying to bring more joy, romance, creativity, luxury, and/or fun into your activities involving communications, commerce, and your local community.
From November 23rd through the 28th, Venus and Uranus work together to create more of that delightful energy blending your “home” and “trust and sharing” sectors together. Once again, romantic at-home date nights, joint household budgets, estate planning, retirement planning, property taxes, and anything else that brings more romance, wealth, trust, and sharing into your private life is encouraged.
From November 23rd through the 29th, Mercury and Mars are getting along wonderfully. Mars is working hard to help you with your “me” sector and Mercury is working just as hard to convince you to spend more time laughing, playing, making love, singing, painting, etc. Together they promote the idea that you should spend more time focusing on romance, children, pets, playtime, hobbies, creativity, luxury, and/or anything else that brings happiness into your life. This is a lovely energy for the holidays.
From November 25th through the 29th, Venus battles Neptune. Once again, lies or secret agendas could be the cause of problems between your parents or roommates and your spouse, best friend, business partner, or rival. Landscaping, remodeling, home-improvements, and/or redecorating projects could also fall victim to deceit and manipulation.
From November 27th through December 17th, Mars opposes Jupiter. Last summer, Mercury, the sun, and Venus passed through here and created an ugly opposition between you and a spouse, best friend, business partner, or competitor. Mars is just now getting ready to catch up and will re-trigger various issues that the two of you have already dealt with in the past. First, he opposes Jupiter (and then Neptune). This creates a “me” versus “we” battle. Chances are good, that whatever has been causing all of the trouble in your home life, finally sparked a battle between the two of you. This does not have to be a major break up energy, it could just be a bigger than normal argument that couples sometimes go through.
From November 28th through the 30th, Mercury begins working with Jupiter. Mercury and Mars are already getting along blending your “me” and “happiness” sectors together in a fun and playful manner. Now, Mercury is also working with Jupiter in your partnerships sector to add more happiness and joy from that angle. Mercury’s position temporarily helps you and your spouse, best friend, or business partner to remember why you originally liked each other. This is a great time for the two of you to spend some quality time together laughing and goofing off. You might even be able to convince a rival to lighten up and have some fun rather than always butting heads with you. The battle between your “me” and “we” sectors is still there, but this is a great time for peace talks or at least for agreeing to a little time out.
From November 30th through December 2nd, Mercury moves on to work with Neptune. They are blending your “happiness” sector and your “partnership” sector together. When Mercury and Neptune work together, we get a creative and intuitive energy. This is a lovely time for romantic date nights, for enjoying good times with a best friend, and/or for you and a business partner to brainstorm creative business ideas together. October 2009 Horoscope
Your monthly horoscope follows this main text for all signs.
For the last two and a half years we have all been asked to adapt to new situations in some area of our lives as Saturn transited Virgo. This transit began in Sept. 2007. We have all had to establish more order; schedules have been influenced, along with employment and/or health care issues that have been in the spotlight for many. Serving something or someone other than ourselves meant we had to remain flexible in the face of change. Adjusting to new circumstances may have been challenging, worrisome, or burdensome as Saturn tested our strengths and weaknesses.
This month will set the stage for a new trend which we will all experience at some level. On Oct. 29, 2009, Saturn, the “Taskmaster”, the planet of old age (Father Time), hard work, and determined effort will enter Libra for the first time since Sept. 1980—Aug. 1983. Think back, if you’re old enough, to what significant events happened in your life during those years because similar themes may develop during this transit.
Saturn will retrograde at 4° Libra on Jan. 13, 2010, and re-enter Virgo in April 2010. During the retrograde phase, Saturn will remind you of the commitments and decisions you are making right now. Saturn will station direct at 28° Virgo May 30, 2010, finishing up its final trek through Virgo on July 21of next year and will not re-enter Virgo again until 2036. From October through January 2010 we will get a hint of what this Saturn in Libra transit will be like, especially for those that have planets 0-5 degrees in their charts.
The Cardinal signs, or people with planets 0-5 degrees in Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, will experience Saturn almost immediately. In addition, the Cancer/Capricorn eclipse in December and the eclipses next year will influence these signs so there are sure to be dramatic changes for the Cardinal signs and for those with planets within them.
Saturn’s transit through Libra until Oct. 2012 will give each of us enough time to grow from this planets influence. Saturn is exalted in Libra, meaning Saturn holds Libra in high regard and works well in this sign. Libra is a relationship sign; a sign concerned with equality, fairness, justice, and beauty. Creating balance in our relationships will be of fundamental importance, as will how we relate to others. We will learn to compromise, weigh both sides of the coin, and treat others as we want to be treated.
There will be challenges on the way where we are held responsible for our actions, or we will weed out what doesn’t promote progress in our lives and in our relationships. All relationships will be influenced, from marriage and family, those who you do business with on a daily basis, and to those that oppose you. Relationships are our reflections—what we give out, we receive in return. Saturn will remind you of that fact. Saturn will ask you to accept certain boundaries and when you do this graciously, you will be compensated. Saturn always leaves you a gift after it leaves a sign. Usually that gift is one of strength and stability because Saturn’s job always builds a firm foundation in the area it is transiting. Sometimes the reward hits you like a revelation when you look back on the last 2 ½ years because Saturn’s lessons are always slow, and always deliberate.
Leo,
Late August born Leo will feel some restraint in their financial sector this month; however, those born earlier in the sign are out of the woods. October begins with Mercury (communications), Venus (pleasure), and Saturn (hard work) transiting your 2nd house of income, possessions, and values. These three planets may limit what you can do with a hard earned dollar or you may be putting your money into something practical and lasting. Some Leo’s will experience shortages because of financial obligations such as debts, taxes, child support, partner’s income, or money other than your wages. Oct. 7/8, Venus trines the moon in your 10th house, bringing favors, recognition, or compensation from employers. If you are unemployed, this aspect may help your partner or your family financially. If you are looking for work, send your resume out because next month (in November) we’ll have a full moon falling in your career.
The sun is transiting your 3rd house of short trips, agreements, and transportation through Oct. 22 and will open up lines of communications for you. Your daily schedule and immediate environment will be in the spotlight. You may have more errands, appointments, meetings, or correspondence. This is a good month to stay in touch with siblings and relatives, or to take a short trip. Relating will be important so share your ideas and feelings, especially with your partner, if you have one.
Full moon in Aries on Oct. 4 falls in your 9th house of education, long trips, news from afar, publishing, and legal issues. Leo born within 5 days of August 3 will feel this full moon most. You or your partner may be traveling, you could hear something from a relative that lives far from you, or you might settle a legal case. You may complete a writing assignment or a website. Perhaps you’ll receive recognition for your role in a legal, foreign relations, education, media, or travel matter, or you may contact a professional to help you in a legal matter or something that’s been hanging around from the past.
Mercury enters your 3rd house on Oct. 9/10 (depending on your location) and Venus follows Oct. 14th. Get out and talk to your neighbors, call your brother or sister, or invite some friends over to the house. If you want to make a good impression on anyone this month, you have the planetary help! The way you relate to others will be in the spotlight for positive or negative reasons. You might learn something about yourself and what you need to correct in order to speak or write effectively. This is also a busy time for you with many errands, details, emails, and lengthy conversations. You’ll be keeping a sharp eye on your appointment book as well. This energy may encourage you to take a short trip, perhaps to visit places of beauty.
Mars will enter your sign on Oct. 16 for an unusually long transit. Mars will transit Leo until June 6, 2010—almost 8 months! If you have Mars in Leo, you’ll be having your Mars return which will be the beginning of a new trend for you, which could extend up to two years. The pace of your life is due to speed up now. This transit will give you more energy and may help you burn some calories too; however, you’ll have to watch your activities a bit because Mars can cause accidents, headaches, or high blood pressure. You will work hard at all of your goals and you may be more competitive now. You might appear aggressive so be mindful that you are not forcing your ideas on others, as this can hurt your relationships. You could give the impression that you are quite powerful and to some this may be intimidating and cause them to distance themselves from you. While you may have energy to burn, your patience could wear thin so be alert to this negative side of Mars.
The new moon Oct. 18 falls in your 3rd house of short trips, siblings, agreements, and transportation. This new moon may find you traveling to cities nearby or doing something with your family in your local community. The new moon may signify a fresh start for your significant other, regarding finances, or you could be making a commitment to someone. This would be a good time for you to enter into formal agreements with professional assistance. You may be shopping for a new car, office equipment, or a luxury item for your family. This would be a good time to start a class or a new series of books because your mind is eager to learn. New moons offer you a two week opportunity to start fresh, although the first week is always more powerful. Leo’s born within 5 days of August 18 will notice this influence most.
The sun enters your 4th house Oct. 23 and Mercury follows Oct. 28. You will turn your attention to property matters, family members, or a significant male figure in your life, such as a parent or your partner. July born Leo will feel some drama building on the home front almost immediately. November may be more challenging, so try and work cooperatively with family now. Single Leo’s may have issues concerning property. If you want to redecorate or move, you may have a difficult landlord. Your best month for romance and dating will begin in late November.
Saturn enters Libra, your 3rd house of relating, transportation, local travel, and siblings Oct. 29. Any or all of these topics may be influenced. Like other Saturn transits, this one can cause worry, depression, isolation, or fearfulness. Saturn will influence your way of thinking and how you absorb information. This is a transit that will help to structure your mind so that you live a more productive life. This would be a good transit to study for exams or learn something new because Saturn will ask you to exercise greater control over your mind. Your immediate environment influences your attitudes so something within your environment may put pressure on you. If you have problems with siblings, relatives, or your neighbors, it may get worse before it gets better, or you will move on. This transit will also help you to become more disciplined in your daily routines, habits, and in the way you communicate. You will learn something new, but it will likely be more about yourself than other areas of your life. Try and look at the brighter side of a given situation. If you look hard enough for something good, you will find it.

September 2009 Monthly Horoscope
Financial planning, investments, earned income, and expenses are highlighted now. It’s time to take a closer look at your personal assets and what you value in your life. These areas are illuminated as the sun spotlights your 2nd house of income. Money isn’t always the driving force in this sector of your chart. You may re-evaluate what your time is worth, or whether you are growing or appreciated for the effort you put into your cause, be it in your private life or on the job.
Sometimes the Suns transit of your 2nd house may stimulate the desire to have more, to spend more, or show off what you own. It’s perfectly normal for you to identify with your possessions during this transit. The Sun governs important male figures in astrology, therefore the income or possessions of an important man in your life may be under the watchful eye of the Universe.
The full moon Sept. 4 in your 8th house of shared resources may be the time that a partner’s income is brought up for review. There may be an ending to a financial arrangement that concerns a partner’s income, child support, bank loans, alimony, commissions, government funds, taxes, investments, or money from other sources. One of these could end, change, or cause you some emotional discomfort.
The 8th house also governs surgery, so the full moon could bring news about a medical procure or a health matter.
With recent eclipses falling in your sign and your partnership sign, this full moon may finalize a divorce or separation between you and a romantic partner or business acquaintance. Some Leo’s may find themselves in a difficult discussion with a friend and may decide to break the ties because you are moving in a different direction. Leo’s born within 5 days of August 5 will be influenced most by this full moon.
Mercury will be retrograde Sept 6 – Sept 29. Mercury is that planet that governs transportation, communication, and all things related to the transfer of information. You should expect any of these areas to be influenced during Mercury’s retrograde. News becomes confusing, transportation is delayed or full of complications, and ideas or agreements are asked to be reconsidered. Items are often lost during this time, so keep your eye on important belongings and documents. I never found my credit card or car keys, items I lost during two separate Mercury Retrograde periods. Be careful of what you spend your money on during any Mercury Rx phase because you may never use it or you might end up taking it back because it doesn’t work. The store shelves and car lots are full of “not so great deals” during this phase. Anything that is communications or transportation related may cause you problems such as computers, phones, gossip, fax machines, vehicles, or shopping over the internet.
You can’t put your life on hold during Mercury Retrograde, but you should concentrate on the things that are going on in your life now. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, re-write, re-organize, review, research, reflect, and re-evaluate.
For Leo, this Mercury retrograde could bring an old friend back from the past. You may be re-evaluating where you spend your money or come up with a better strategy for your financial future. A bill from the past could come back to you now. Check your bank statements, investments, and other financial documents. If you receive a generic looking letter from your financial institution or Credit Card Company, exam it carefully, as you wouldn’t want to find out that the interest rate went up without realizing it. Stay away from “Get Rich Quick” schemes and avoid financial decisions until October.
Venus transits your sign (through Sept. 20) making Leo the zodiacs most attractive sign of the month! Anything you do to enhance your personal appearance will be favored now. This Venus transit will help you in your relationships as people will see you as warm, kind, and friendly. You will attract this kind of energy to you because this is how you project yourself. It will be easier to compromise and conversations are more enjoyable. Do what you love, Leo!
Mars transits your 12th house through Oct. 15. This transit may seem to contradict what I have said about Venus in your sign. The good news is that Mars only makes three difficult aspects all month. Sometimes it’s difficult to talk about your problems when Mars transits the last sector of your horoscope. On the flip side, your emotional energy could be stronger and you may feel the need to help someone through hard times. Extending a helping hand is a commendable quality, just be careful that you don’t take on other people’s problems.
Mars in this sector can cause nervous energy, brooding, or worry, sometimes because of past experiences. The best way to get through this transit is to finish up old projects or work alone for you’ll get more accomplished away from the crowd.
Income, material goods, and your values are further emphasized at the new moon Sept. 18 and within the two weeks following, although the first week is most favorable for you. Leo’s born near August 18 will feel this new energy most. This is a good time to look at long term budgeting or savings. If you’re looking for some extra cash, or you are waiting on a pay increase, you may hear something now or it could show up on your paycheck.
If you don’t work outside of your home, you may find another way to bring in some extra money and never have to leave the house. There could be money coming to you through health insurance, workman’s compensation, a bonus, or a commission’s check related to the work you do. You may decide to take a second job or make a financial decision that will be underway before October’s full moon. This new moon is strongly tied to Saturn, ruler of your health and work sectors. If money is important, it may be because of work or heath conditions now.
September will be a memorable month for many signs, mostly because of unstable planetary patterns. The majority of heavy hitter aspects come into play around midmonth. Saturn will be nearing exact opposition to Uranus which manifests Sept. 15. This aspect can result in sudden breaks or the need to break out limiting circumstances.
Venus opposes Neptune on Sept. 15 which may result in having unrealistic expectations in a relationship. Someone may have a hidden agenda or there may be disappointments. No relationship should begin under this aspect if you want something lasting. Use this energy to help someone less fortunate or visit someone you know that needs cheering up.
On Sept. 17 the Sun will oppose Uranus, the planet of sudden unexpected events and breakthroughs. Accidents, irritability, tension, restlessness, impatience, radical change are a few keywords you should know if you are influenced by this aspect. The sun opposes Uranus every year.
On the new moon Sept. 18, Mars, stationed at 15° Cancer will trigger events related to the July 7 lunar eclipse at 15° Capricorn. Mars is used as a timer in astrology; I usually mention this at eclipse time and give you dates to expect eclipse activity to unfold. Mars has reached the exact degree of opposition to the July 7 eclipse therefore some of you may be dealing with the results of that eclipse now.
Still active at the wake of the Sept. 18 new moon, these aspects remain volatile through Sept. 25 when the moon meets up with Pluto at a highly sensitive degree in Capricorn. The earliest born in the signs of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and Aries will be influenced most by this conjunction. Dependant on your birth chart, other signs may also experience intense emotional changes or the feeling of being completely overwhelmed. Home, family, and/or finances may demand your attention. Possessiveness, jealousy, and power struggles, sometimes due to emotional manipulations can result.
That said, powerful planetary patterns as we have now are often the driving force behind major breakthroughs. Lessons will be learned (some the hard way), progress will be made (through sheer will and determination) and barriers will be broken (with extra effort and hard work). At the end of the day you may be thanking the Universe for the aspects that propelled you through a month like September.
