From October 11th through March 9th, Saturn and Pluto clash. This is that same battle that the sun and Mercury triggered. This time, it is bigger, uglier, and far more important. Saturn is moving into your personal pleasure, romance, children, pets, creative talents, luxury, and happiness sector. From this new location, he is trying to teach you some life lessons about what makes you happy, how much time and energy you put into playtime activities, and about romance, parenting, and the creative process. Pluto is trying to add personal power, enlightenment, profits, and sex appeal to your fidelity, joint finances and trust and sharing sector. With these two titans clashing, you could find your love life and your finances are in a major upheaval. Financial problems involving your children, pets, hobbies, luxury items, playtime activities, and/or your spouse’s income are likely to arise. It is also possible that you and a lover will have to deal with romantic or financial trust issues, infidelity, and/or differing sexual needs. And those of you working in the creative arts, musical and theatrical industries, and/or anything involving bringing happiness into other people’s lives could find this to be a tough time for business growth. Profits are down or you are having to fight to acquire your fair share of the profits. Saturn might be testing you to see if you are really serious about following your bliss as a professional path. From October 24th through November 4th, the sun and Mars are clashing. Mars is in your interpersonal communications, commercial activities, and local community sector. The sun is still in your work sector. This could be a tough time for business negotiations, sales proposals, office meetings, computer or telecommunication system malfunctions, and office gossip. Misunderstandings, angry outbursts, and/or overly aggressive salesman could be driving you nuts.
From October 29th through April 8th, Saturn leaves Virgo and your fourth house to enter Libra and your fifth house. He will backtrack and revisit Virgo and your fourth house from April 8th through July 20th. After that, he will stay in Libra and your fifth house for the next couple of years. For Gemini, hosting Saturn in fifth house Libra could be tough on you. The fifth house governs personal pleasure, romance, playtime, pets, children, hobbies, creative talents, luxury, and happiness. With Libra involved, Saturn could be challenging your love life, your ability to hang out with a best friend, or a business partnership involving “happiness” industries (music, theater, vacations, matchmaking, pet care, fine dining, etc). Gossiping coworkers, complicated sales presentations, telecommunications problems, work-related travel, and/or argumentative attitudes at work are already driving you crazy. When Mercury and Neptune battle, we often find lies, deceit, gullibility, negative self-talk, escapism, and/or hidden agendas are a key factor in the drama that unfolds. This is not a good time for confiding in anyone at work, things are not as they seem.
From November 11th through the 18th, the sun begins working with Uranus the same way Mercury is. This prolongs your ability to blend “work” and “success” energies in a positive and smart way. Despite the dramas going on at work, you are actually coming across as a great leader, a hard worker, a smart problem solver, and you are doing better than you might realize.
From November 13th through the 18th, the sun battles with Neptune the way that Mercury just did. Coworkers’ bigotry, foreigners, international marketing, time-consuming training classes, business travel, and/or pronouncements from the legal department are still causing productivity issues, bad attitudes, and/or quality control problems at work.
November 16th hosts a new moon in your daily work, coworkers, productivity, chores, to-do lists, duties, physical health, and “feeling useful” sector. This is a great time for launching big projects at work, hiring new employees, accepting new job descriptions, starting a new job, purchasing new tools and equipment, and/or for implementing new productivity and organizational systems. This is also a good time for embarking on new (doctor approved) health and fitness programs. From November 16th through the 22nd, Venus and Mars are not getting along. These are the cosmic lovers of the universe, so when they fight it can be like an old married couple. The sun and Mercury have already passed through here and battled with Mars. From November 21st through the 26th, Venus and Jupiter are recreating the cultural, legal, political, religious, media, and/or travel related issues that have been causing problems at work. This is the last planet to pass through here, so this drama is almost over. Venus just has to battle Neptune and then things will finally quiet down.
From November 23rd through the 26th, the sun and Saturn get along quite nicely. Like Mercury a few days ago, the sun is helping you and a lover or best friend to spend more time laughing, playing, being creative, and taking time to stop and smell the roses together. Business partnerships working in “happiness” industries can use this to create long-term success and business growth.
From November 23rd through the 28th, Venus and Uranus work together to create more of that delightful energy blending your “work” and “success” sectors together. Once again, you are encouraged to work on marketing and advertising projects, accept leadership roles, go after job promotions, schedule interviews, and/or to work towards your professional goals and aspirations. Venus rules over diplomacy and personal wealth, so she can especially help in those areas.
From November 23rd through the 29th, Mercury and Mars are getting along wonderfully. From November 25th through the 29th, Venus battles Neptune. Once again, coworkers’ bigotry, foreigners, international marketing, time-consuming training classes, business travel, and/or pronouncements from the legal department are still causing productivity issues, bad attitudes, and/or quality control problems at work. Since Neptune is involved, lies, deceit, manipulation, and/or secret agendas could be the cause of the legal, political, cultural, religious, academic, philosophical, media, and/or travel problems you and your coworkers are experiencing. Luckily, this is the last planet to pass through here so this reoccurring problem should finally work itself out.
From November 27th through December 17th, Mars opposes Jupiter. Last summer, Mercury, the sun, and Venus passed through here and created an ugly opposition between your long-distance travel, multicultural teachings, languages, religions, laws, politics, philosophies, universities, mass media, and global awareness sector and your local travel, local people, elementary education, interpersonal communications, commerce, and small town thinking sector. Mars is just now getting ready to catch up and will re-trigger various events that you have already dealt with in the past. First, he opposes Jupiter (and then Neptune). This creates a closed-minded versus open-minded, global versus local, and/or staying home versus traveling battle. All forms of communications, travel, academics, commerce, and legal agreements are challenged at this time.
From November 28th through the 30th, Mercury begins working with Jupiter. Mercury and Mars are already getting along blending your partnerships sector and your communications, community, and commerce sectors together in a charming, smart, and productive manner. Now, Mercury is also working with Jupiter in your travel, cultural, legal, religious, political, philosophical, academic, mass media, and global awareness sector to add more compromise, negotiations, and intelligence to the issues. Your lover, best friend, or business partner is able to play a diplomatic role, to negotiate with both sides, and/or to come up with creative ways to make the best of the situation. If one of your partners offers to help with the battle between Mars and Jupiter mentioned in the previous paragraph, let them.
From November 30th through December 2nd, Mercury moves on to work with Neptune. This is more of the “partnership” sector blending nicely with the “global awareness” sector. With Jupiter, it was about “abundance and prosperity” but with Neptune, the focus changes to more intuition, gut instincts, charity, and philanthropy. Your partner can help you to forgive and forget, to see the bigger picture, to take on a more adventurous spirit, and/or to simply play a more magnanimous role when small-minded people start to get the best of you. This is also an excellent time for the two of you to take a romantic vacation together, even if it is just a short getaway.

October 2009 Horoscope
Your monthly horoscope follows this main text for all signs.
For the last two and a half years we have all been asked to adapt to new situations in some area of our lives as Saturn transited Virgo. This transit began in Sept. 2007. We have all had to establish more order; schedules have been influenced, along with employment and/or health care issues that have been in the spotlight for many. Serving something or someone other than ourselves meant we had to remain flexible in the face of change. Adjusting to new circumstances may have been challenging, worrisome, or burdensome as Saturn tested our strengths and weaknesses.
This month will set the stage for a new trend which we will all experience at some level. On Oct. 29, 2009, Saturn, the “Taskmaster”, the planet of old age (Father Time), hard work, and determined effort will enter Libra for the first time since Sept. 1980—Aug. 1983. Think back, if you’re old enough, to what significant events happened in your life during those years because similar themes may develop during this transit.
Saturn will retrograde at 4° Libra on Jan. 13, 2010, and re-enter Virgo in April 2010. During the retrograde phase, Saturn will remind you of the commitments and decisions you are making right now. Saturn will station direct at 28° Virgo May 30, 2010, finishing up its final trek through Virgo on July 21of next year and will not re-enter Virgo again until 2036. From October through January 2010 we will get a hint of what this Saturn in Libra transit will be like, especially for those that have planets 0-5 degrees in their charts.
The Cardinal signs, or people with planets 0-5 degrees in Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, will experience Saturn almost immediately. In addition, the Cancer/Capricorn eclipse in December and the eclipses next year will influence these signs so there are sure to be dramatic changes for the Cardinal signs and for those with planets within them.
Saturn’s transit through Libra until Oct. 2012 will give each of us enough time to grow from this planets influence. Saturn is exalted in Libra, meaning Saturn holds Libra in high regard and works well in this sign. Libra is a relationship sign; a sign concerned with equality, fairness, justice, and beauty. Creating balance in our relationships will be of fundamental importance, as will how we relate to others. We will learn to compromise, weigh both sides of the coin, and treat others as we want to be treated.
There will be challenges on the way where we are held responsible for our actions, or we will weed out what doesn’t promote progress in our lives and in our relationships. All relationships will be influenced, from marriage and family, those who you do business with on a daily basis, and to those that oppose you. Relationships are our reflections—what we give out, we receive in return. Saturn will remind you of that fact. Saturn will ask you to accept certain boundaries and when you do this graciously, you will be compensated. Saturn always leaves you a gift after it leaves a sign. Usually that gift is one of strength and stability because Saturn’s job always builds a firm foundation in the area it is transiting. Sometimes the reward hits you like a revelation when you look back on the last 2 ½ years because Saturn’s lessons are always slow, and always deliberate.

As the month begins your ruler (Mercury) combined with Venus (love and money) team up with Saturn (sustained effort) in your 4th house of home and family. Your domestic situation may seem weighted or you could feel that you are lacking progress right about now. There is a restrictive feeling to this energy because you are laying the groundwork for success at home and in other areas of your life. In addition, Saturn sometimes causes brooding, worry, or depression as it transits the bottom of your chart. Soon that dark cloud will fade as well.
October is an important month for you to express your creative self. This is an important time for love and pleasure, and for focusing on your children (if you have them). Home and family affairs will change as we round out the month, especially for those born late in the sign or with late Gemini rising. Even if you have to stick around the house or spend more time on family matters, the sun is in a position to help you have some fun. You may have to put big adventures on the back burner and focus on something more practical, like local art exhibits or neighborhood parks.
Mars continues to transit your 2nd house of earnings and possessions, so you may be burning through some cash. The money you spend could relate to charity or friends, or you may be investing money and time in a goal you are trying to achieve. Mars in this sector can induce the desire to spend freely on something we identify with—just be careful that those designer shoes don’t cause conflicts in your relationship.
Full moon in Aries on Oct. 4 falls in your 11th house of friends, groups, goals, and hopes and wishes. Gemini’s born within 5 days of June 2 will feel this full moon most. Something may be culminating regarding a child, social event, or creative project, with a friend, or within a group. You may have to assert yourself and emotions could be heightened now. Encouraging financial news could develop or someone may value your input. This full moon seems to have a very positive outcome for you.
Mercury enters your 5th house on Oct. 9/10 (depending on your location) and Venus follows Oct. 14th. The atmosphere will begin to change now as planets move into your pleasure zone. This transit will help you to express yourself and your creative urges. This is a good transit for enjoying time with your children, for dating and romance, and for visiting places that bring you enjoyment. Don’t expect romance to come knocking if you’re single, as you’ll have to get out and about. Investments may pay higher dividends if you put your money into something that will increase in value.
Mars enters your 3rd house of relating and local travel on Oct. 16 for an unusually long transit. Mars will transit Leo until June 6, 2010—almost 8 months! This suggests that you will be very busy in the months ahead. You may be dealing with frequent changes within your immediate environment. You could be active within your local community. Increased communications (letters, emails, writing) will be in the stars for you. Your schedule may include frequent short trips where you spend a lot of time on the road. Keeping up with your appointment book may cause you some stress, but sedentary isn’t a word that describes Gemini, so you can enjoy this change of pace. Mars can cause conflicts with siblings, relatives, or neighbors, especially if you express your opinions with Mars’ forceful energy. Words pack a powerful punch over the next 8 months so choose them wisely or use your keen wit instead. Finally, if you’re in school, this transit may be helpful in accomplishing your assignments, although learning, writing, and other correspondences may put pressure on you.
The new moon Oct. 18 falls in your 5th house of love, pleasure, children, and creativity. Gemini’s born within 5 days of June 16 will notice this new moon most. New moons offer you new beginnings and fresh starts. You have two weeks to see results for your efforts, although the first week is always the most potent. The days following the full moon may find you taking a trip, for pleasure or family. The new moon could influence matters related to children. A child could be traveling, or you could begin receiving child support. Other legal matters could be resolved that relate to children or children’s benefits. The new moon may assist you in a creative or artistic endeavor. This could relate to publishing, broadcasting, or the media. Romance may be the topic of this new moon. The new moon could breathe new life into your romantic relationship or you could meet someone and start dating. I met my husband after a 5th house new moon, although we didn’t start dating until the following month.
The sun enters your 6th house Oct. 23 and Mercury follows Oct. 28. Take advantage of every opportunity to enjoy yourself in October because you’re about to put your energy into work, chores, and other mundane tasks. Health care will be highlighted in November, as will the health and employment of a partner for those in committed relationships.
Saturn enters Libra, your 5th house of romance, true love, children, creative endeavors, and joy Oct. 29. This Saturn transit will be a little easier than Saturn in Virgo because Virgo is your 4th house, an important angle in your chart. Nonetheless, adjusting to new circumstances will be necessary. You will be learning to express yourself and learning to give and receive love. There could be difficulties with children, some of which could cause separations. If you want to have a baby, this Saturn transit could delay a pregnancy; however, I had my first child during a 5th house Saturn transit, so your birth chart should be considered. Your creative energies or self expression may feel blocked as life takes on a more serious tone. Alternatively, this would be a good transit to work on something that requires a lot of patience. Romantic relationships that are difficult will probably end so that new people can come into your life. Serious romantic relationships that promote self-growth and balance between partners will get stronger.

September 2009 Monthly Horoscope
Two years ago you entered a phase of greater responsibility regarding your domestic situation. For some Gemini’s this meant caring for a parent or older family member. This may have been the result (or influence) of health or work related problems. For others, a worrisome health issue may have developed for a family member, or you may be heavily invested in property at this point. And then there are the Gemini’s which may have felt emotionally isolated or cut off from family.
The sun illuminates property and family matters again this month. When Saturn enters Libra (your 5th house) October 29, you’ll start to feel some relief and will be ready to move back out into the world knowing your family, and/or living situation, is stable for years to come.
It’s time to focus on the needs of your family. Property matters may also require more time and attention. This would be a good month to clean and organize your space. Your parents may play an important role now. You might decide to visit with family and you’ll probably want to spend more time at home. For some Gemini’s, a male figure such as a father or husband may be of concern; for others, another close family member, possibly an elderly person, will be in the spotlight.
The full moon Sept. 4 in your 10th house may result in a career decision or may test something you are working hard to achieve. Gemini’s born within 5 days of June 3 will be more effected by the full moon than others. The full moon may point to a situation going on at home that relates to a home business, a male figure, or you as a parent. There could be financial consequences or disagreements regarding money.
Mercury will be retrograde Sept 6 – Sept 29. Mercury is the planet that governs transportation, communication, and all things related to the transfer of information. You should expect any of these areas to be influenced during Mercury’s retrograde. News becomes confusing, transportation is delayed or full of complications, and ideas or agreements are asked to be reconsidered. Items are often lost during this time, so keep your eye on important belongings and documents. I never found my credit card or car keys, items which I lost during two separate Mercury Retrograde periods. Be careful of what you spend your money on during any Mercury Rx phase because you may never use it or you might end up taking it back because it doesn’t work. The store shelves and car lots are full of “not so great deals” during this phase. Anything that is communication or transportation related may cause you problems such as computers, phones, gossip, fax machines, vehicles, or shopping over the internet.
You can’t put your life on hold during Mercury Retrograde, but you should concentrate on the things that are going on in your life now. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, re-write, re-organize, review, research, reflect, and re-evaluate.
For Gemini, this Mercury retrograde will take you back over a home or family decision. There may be disappointments or disagreements within an important relationship. For some Gemini’s, something will become clear now that you weren’t aware of. This could add stress, worry, or make you feel blocked. Progress will be made at home, but it may take all month to sort out the details.
Venus transits Leo, your 3rd house, through Sept. 20. This transit will be your saving grace this month as your willingness to compromise will be evident. You’ll have the ability to communicate harmoniously through speech and writing. You will benefit (financially or within a group) as people will be listening to what you have to say. Venus adds warmth to your personality. Your schedule may be influenced as you’ll have more interest in pleasure seeking activities and social interaction. You can expect better relations with neighbors and relatives, and may find love through one of these contacts.
Mars transits your 2nd house through Oct. 15. You may be eager to earn more money now or you may have greater financial responsibilities to shoulder. Mars in the 2nd house can help you work harder to increase your income, but it may also stimulate your desire to acquire material goods. Be careful of impulsive spending or depleting your financial resources. Mars will enter a more compatible fire sign (Leo) on October 16.
The theme of family, parents, and property continues all month and will be further emphasized following the new moon Sept. 18. Gemini’s born near June 17 will be most marked by the new moon. The new moon will open a two week window of opportunity to begin a family or home related undertaking. Property matters, real estate, financial talks or agreements, or investments regarding property may be in the stars for you. The possibility exists that someone within your family may require a surgical procedure—however, not all Gemini’s will experience this. If you want to move, the days following this new moon is the best time to find your new residence.
September will be a memorable month for many signs, mostly because of unstable planetary patterns. The majority of heavy hitter aspects come into play around midmonth. Saturn will be nearing an exact opposition to Uranus which manifests Sept. 15. This aspect can result in sudden breaks or the need to break free of limiting circumstances.
Venus opposes Neptune on Sept. 15 which may result in having unrealistic expectations in a relationship. Someone may have a hidden agenda or there could be disappointments. No relationship should begin under this aspect if you want something lasting. Use this energy to help someone less fortunate or visit someone you know that needs cheering up.
On Sept. 17 the Sun will oppose Uranus, the planet of sudden unexpected events and breakthroughs. Accidents, irritability, tension, restlessness, impatience, and radical change are a few keywords you should know if you are influenced by this aspect. The sun opposes Uranus every year.
On the new moon Sept. 18, Mars, stationed at 15° Cancer, will trigger events related to the July 7 lunar eclipse at 15° Capricorn. Mars is used as a timer in astrology; I usually mention this at eclipse time and give you dates to expect eclipse activity to unfold. Mars has reached the exact degree of opposition to the July 7 eclipse, therefore some of you may be dealing with the results of that eclipse now.
Still active at the wake of the Sept. 18 new moon, these aspects remain volatile through Sept. 25 when the moon meets up with Pluto at a highly sensitive degree in Capricorn. The earliest born in the signs of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, and Aries will be influenced most by this conjunction. Dependant on your birth chart, other signs may also experience intense emotional changes or the feeling of being completely overwhelmed. Home, family, and/or finances may demand your attention. Possessiveness, jealousy, and power struggles, sometimes due to emotional manipulations, can result.
That said, powerful planetary patterns as we have now are often the driving force behind major breakthroughs. Lessons will be learned (some the hard way), progress will be made (through sheer will and determination) and barriers will be broken (with extra effort and hard work). At the end of the day you may be thanking the Universe for the aspects that propelled you through a month like September.
Venus enters your 4th house of family and property on Sept. 20. If you haven’t had a chance to decorate or buy some new items for your home during this month’s transit, you may do so now. Venus in your 4th house may find you wanting to stay home or spend more time with your family. If you have had any trouble within your family, this transit can help to mend fences. You may feel closer to your family or parents now, and there may be more entertaining within your home.
The Sun enters your 5th house Sept. 22. This transit will focus on your creativity, hobbies, your competitive nature, and your ability to give and receive love. Children will also be an important topic for many Gemini’s through October.
